On the birth record for her daughter Alma, the mother's name is Cora A. Trickett of Vannoys Mills, Barbour County, WV. Cora was 21 years old and born in Barbour Co. When her daughter Lura was born in 1904, the record says the mother was Cora Thacker, 26 years old and born in Randolph County, WV currently living in Philippi, Barbour County. My feeling is that the 1904 record is the most accurate, but I have no proof of that. The 1904 record does agree with Don Norman's records. LATER: The record for Cora at Find-a-Grave gives her birth county as Barbour County. There is a good picture of the gravestone with legible dates. As whoever posted the locations at Find-a-Grave also knew her parents, this record will use that information. "Married Aug. 22, 1895 Riley D. Poling son of Hezekiah Poling and Elizabeth Woodford Poling. Cora was the daughter of Jacob Spotwood Thacker and Isabella Reed Thacker."
