About Connie Isbell

Connie was 5 feet 4 inches, weight 120 lbs. she had dark brown hair, dark completion, Connie and George was both caring people....she was Diabetic, had high blood pressure, and died of Heart failure.

BORN IN OKLAHOMA IN JUNE 6,1907, moved to Mason, Oklahoma when she was a young teenager, it was there she met George Johnston Bradley who also live at Mason. They were married November 3, 1927 and on April 2, 1929 she gave birth to their first child, Leveta Doris Bradley. They moved to Broken Arrow later that year and George was employed by Sinclair Coal Company. In June of 1933 he was sent to Huntsville, Missouri to work, later that year Connie and Leveta joined him in Moberly, Missouri. June 1933 Connie lost her mother, and on December 12, 1933 she gave birth to their second child, Jerry Lee Bradley, Jerry only live about an hour. He was buried in the Huntsville Cemetery, he has a small tombstone at his grave(put there by his brother Donald and Sister Leveta in 1966). Jerry's funeral cost $27.00, Connie and George did not have the money to pay for it so the neighbors took up a offering to help them.

In 1934 Lavonia Ida(Skeet) Isbell who was Connie's baby sister came to live with them, and she became their second daughter. She was 11 years old.

December 14, 1935 George Gene Bradley was born and then in December of 1937 George was sent to Madisonville, Hopkins County, Kentucky for work later in the month Connie and the children join him. July 14, 1940 Donald Lloyd Bradley was born.

Connie was a hard working Christian lady till she died on March 12, 1992. She was member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, a United Pentecostal Church, Madisonville, Kentucky.

Connie died on 12 MAR 1992 at the REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, MADISONVILLE, Hopkins County, Kentucky, of Congestive Heart Failure... She was taken to the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home Inc, 2285 North Main Street, Madisonville, Ky her funeral was in the Chapel of the funeral home Her pastor Rev. Ronnie Hendricks and Rev. Bobby Alvey(a beloved friend of the family) officiated at her funeral. Connie was buried at Odd Fellows Cemetery, on the West Center Street, Madisonville, Kentucky in the Bradley Family Plot.

Connie O. Bradley

Connie O. Bradley 84, of Elk Creek Mobile Home Park, Madisonville, died Thursday, March 12, 1992. at 11:45 p.m. at Regional Medical Center.

Born June 6, 1907, in Yuba, Okla., she was the daughter of the late John Add Isbell and Nola Ann Williams Isbell, She was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by two sons, three sisters, and three brothers.

She was survived by her husband George J. Bradley of Madisonville, two daughters Mrs Ralph (Skeet) Downing of Boonville, Ind., and Mrs Ralph (Leveta) Lovelady of Herndon, Ky., one son Donald L. Bradley of Madisonville; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday at 2p.m. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Alvey and Bro Ronnie Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in the Oddfellows Cemetery.

Friends ma call Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Wayne Downing, Larry Downing, Bradley Downing, Mike Downing, David Lovelady, and Heath Bradley.
