    «i»Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Walker of Downer addition, 98, resident of this section of the state for over 75 years who died Friday at Eventide, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Champions funeral home.
    The Rev. Kenneth Rice will officiate and interment will be in Sheridan cemetery.
    Mrs. Walker was born in Logan, Kans. and came to the Sheridan area in a covered wagon with her husband and three eldest children on Oct. 4, 1894.
    Mrs. Walker was married to George Walker April 28, 1889 in Loup City, Neb.
    Survivors include three daughters, two sons, 15 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
    Mrs. Walker was born Dec. 7, 1871 in Logan, Kan. She married George Walker in Loup City, Neb. They traveled west in a covered wagon with their three eldest children arriving here on Oct. 4, 1894 when the railroad was still big news in the community.
    The Walkers were ranchers, making their home for some time on the Frank Brundage ranch near Sheridan.
    Mrs. Walker was a charter member of the Willing Workers Club and was also a member of the Downer Homemakers club.
    She was preceeded in death by her husband who died in 1945 and also by two daughters, Mrs. A. S. Russell and Gladys Walker and one son, Charles Walker.
    Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Leland Brundage, Mrs. Lloyd Thomas and Mrs. Frank Eads, all of Sheridan; two sons, Ralph Walker and J. A. Walker of Sheridan; 41 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Champion's Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Rice officiating. Interment will be in the Sheridan cemetery.«/i»
