"The funeral of Mr. Chris Disque, who died in the evening of the 5th inst., took place Saturday afternoon at the Baptist Church, and was well attended. Services by Rev. Markland, assisted by Rev. Nocka of the German M.E. Church. Mr. Disque was born in Germany in 1806, came to this country in 1851; worked for Hon. John Scott Harrison, on his farm near the Miami, until he had accumulated enough money to send to Germany for his family, and on their arrival located in this city, where he continued to reside to the time of his death. He was twice married, and twice bereaved, his second wife having proceeded him to the grave a few years ago. Mr. Disque was a good citizen, a Christian, and his life having been prolonged beyond the time allotted to man, he was prepared and waiting to go."
