Was unmarried as of June 1832 when she was mentioned as an heir of her uncle Samuel Jackson's estate. See his Notes. Both the Find-a-Grave memorial page and the newspaper article posted in her brother Hamilton's page give us a correct spelling of her name.

Comment contributed by Frank M. Jackson: "Cornelia A. Jackson filed a bill of complaint on behalf of Christiana with the Chancery Court in Brooklyn, Kings, New York on 29 June 1847 (BM 667 P) asking that a trustee be appointed to manage her assets, effectively removing her husband from control of her financial affairs. Her claim is based on an ante-nuptial agreement signed 17 June 1833 before they were married on 29 June 1833. The agreement provides that Christiana’s assets “should be held by her “to ____her separate use and under her sole control not in any manner subject to the payment of debts of her then intended husband, or in any manner liable to his disposition.” The Court rules in her favor 2 July 1847."

Research below contributed by Dr. Anthony Troha: First, we find announcements and articles about her marriage to William Peters:

The New York Evening Post, Saturday, June 29, 1833, Page 2, Column 6: “MARRIED On Thursday last [i.e. on Thursday, June 27, 1833], in St. Thomas Church, by the Rev. Dr. Hawks, William Peters, to Christiana A. Jackson.”

The New-York Spectator, Thursday, July 4, 1833, Page 1, Column 6: “MARRIED. On Thursday last [i.e. on Thursday, June 27, 1833] in St. Thomas' Church, by the Rev. Dr. Hawkes, WILLIAM PETERS, to CHRISTIANA A. JACKSON.”

From another period source, I learned that the Reverend Francis Lister Hawks, D. D., who performed the wedding ceremony, was rector of Saint Thomas Church in Brooklyn in 1833, so now we now where they were married.

The New York Herald, Monday, August 7, 1865, Page 3, Column 5:

“PETERS.-On Saturday, August 5, CHRISTIANA A. PETERS, wife of the late Wm Peters, aged 58 years. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the Church of the Holy Trinity, Clinton, corner of Montague street, Brooklyn, on Tuesday afternoon, at two o'clock, without further invitation.”

This gives us her age, leading to a birth year around 1807.
