  6.   Funeral Sunday for Charles Ross Who Died Friday
           Funeral services for Charles B. Ross, 63, who died Friday evening at 6 o’clock at his residence, 305 West Fifth Street, will be conducted from the chapel of the Daniel & Son Funeral Home Sunday morning at 9:30 o’clock. The Rev. J. W. Segars will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Beryl Roberts. Interment will be in East View Memorial Cemetery.
           Mr. Ross had suffered a long illness. He was born and reared in Floyd county and had lived here all his life. He was the son of the late J. W. and Laura H. Ross, who died many years ago.
           Mr. Ross had been a member of Rome lodge, No. 40, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, for 34 years, and he had been a member of the Trinity Methodist church for a number of years.
           Surviving him are his widow, five daughters, Mrs. H. C. Norris, of Atlanta, Miss Jessie Ross, Mrs. August Kokal, Mrs. Clinton Trammell Jr, and Miss Virginia Ross, all of Rome; five sons, John, of Atlanta, Elbert, J. Ben, Lewis and Lamar Ross, of Rome; two sisters, Miss Connie Ross and Miss Jennie Ross, of Rome. An aunt, Miss Bettie Hoss also survives, as well as six grandchildren.
           Pallbearers will include Hugh McCrary, John Winkle, J. F. Smiley, W. C. Rash, W. C. England and R. D. Printice. A delegation from the Rome lodge of Odd Fellows will attend the funeral and conduct the grave services. [Rome newspaper, September 1937] KF-in-Georgia
