Charles Washington (May 2, 1738 – September 16, 1799) was the youngest brother of United States President George Washington. He was a son of Augustine Washington and his second wife, Mary Ball Washington.
Early Land Acquisition in Virginia
Acquisition of Land from Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants:
- P-302: Mr. Charles Washington of Spotsylvania County, 445 acres near Bullskin in Berkeley County. Surv. 25 March 1751 by Mr. George Washington for Richard Sanford who relinquished his Right to Heirs of Maj. Lawrence Washington dec'd who devised to his brothers John Augustine, Samuel, and Charles, but said land being forfeited by advertisement. See Book N.
