Charles Pemberton Walker, who would have been 89 on Lincoln's birthday, died last night at home home on East 49th Street.
Born at Cincinnati, Indiana (Monroe County), Mr. Walker had lived here 35 years. For the last 21 years, he had been representative for the Western Honey Producers Association of Sioux City, Iowa. Previously at different times, he had been salesman for New England and Northwestern Mutual Insurance Cos. In his youth, he was with the Southern Indiana Railroad. For a time, Mr. Walker lived at Terre Haute, where he was active in the insurance business.
Mr. Walker was a member of the East 49th Street Christian Church here, a pass master of Euclid Masonic Lodge at Terre Haute, where he was a member, past master of Sullivan Masonic Lodge, where he was formerly a member, and a member of the Knights Templar at Terre Haute. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Flanner & Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Survivors are the widow, Edythe Walker; a son, Charles Harold Walker; a daughter, Mrs. Stanis Clark, Indianapolis; and a stepson, Edwin Richard Fristoe, Peoria, Illinios.
