abt. 1697 Charles must marry Rebecca Isaac. He would have been abt. 33 or 34 years old when they married and Rebecca must have been considerably younger as she lives a long life into the 1760s

19 March 1713 Daniell Walker Senr. Of Talbot County in the Province of Maryland, Plantor of the one part and Daniell Walker Junr, Wm. Walker & Charles Walker all of Talbot County afores’d Planters of the other part, Witnesseth: that the sayd Daniell Walker Senr. for a valuable Consideration of the Sums of Sixteen Thousand pounds of Tobacco already provided before the sealing of s’d presents, Hath Given Granted bargained & Sold unto the said Daniell Jr., William and Charles fore Ever Four Tracks or parcells of land one of the Tracts called & known by the name of Miles Alias Milington Lyoing on (St.) Mich. River on the North Syde of the Sayd River near the Dividing branches Beginning at a marked pine … on the main branch called Ashby branch contain layed out for fifty acres. One other Track of Land called Daniel’s Gift Laying on the River afs’d in Talbot County afs’d on the North side of the afs’d River bounding the said River… to the Stansley (?( Branch (very difficult to be certain) containing fifty acres of land. Of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland, Planter of the and Isaac Lansdale of Queen Ann Town in the Province of Maryland, Planter and Isaac Lansdale of Queen Anne Town in the said County, Merchant … that whereas Charles Walker is lawfully seized of a Lease for the Term of three lives bearing date 3 March 1700 for during the natural life of Rebecca Walker his wife, the natural life of Charles Walker his Son and the natural life of Elizabeth Walker his Daughter, the natural life of the longest liver of them Successively, a certain parcel of Land Containing two hundred acres being part of the Mannor lying in the County afs’d whereon the said Charles now lives bounded by lines of James Mullikin and Whereas the said Charles Walker is also seized in fee simple a certain tract on the North Side of the Eastern branch of the Potomack containing 300 acres and stands indebted to the said Isaac Lansdale in the sum of 160 pounds four shillings and eight pence Sterling NOW this Indenture witnesseth that the said Charles Walker for and in consideration of the sum of 168 pounds four shillings eight pence sterling due to the said Isaac Lansdale as security for the payment of the same hath given granted bargained and sold to the said Isaac Lansdale his heirs and assigns the said land being the same whereon he now lives with all estate right and title… and also two Negroe men called Jack & Scoggin PROVIDED that it is the true intent of these presents that if the said Charles Walker his heirs and assigns or any of them shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the said Isaac Lansdale the said sum by shipping with convenient speed a crop of Tobacco that hath been made on the plantation of the said Charles Walker the year past to Walter/William Smith to sell and dispose to such merchant as the said Isaac assigns or appoints yearly herafter until the said sum with interest somplies the agreement above shall be void. 28 May 1730 probated 30 Oct 1730 Charles writes will in Prince Georges Co. MD - probated 30 Oct 1730 - names wife Rebecca and son Joseph - personal estate to his seven daughters: Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mary, Ruth, Ann, Creecy and Rachel. He leaves wife Rebecca (executrix) a dwelling house and 50 acres during her life being part of Bacon Hall which was to pass to son Joseph at her death. The rest of Bacon hall to go to son Charles. At the Request of Joseph Walker the following Deposition was Recorded April the Twenty fifth Day 1741

March 26: 1741 This day came Richard Isaac Aged about Sixty Two Years being duly Sworn Declares that some time before the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty that he and the Deceased Charles Walker was in Company and the said Charles Walker asked the Deponent to lend him some Land Warrant & he would take some Land Joyning Bacon Hall to Settle his son Charles on and the Deponant Shortly after assigned him Thirty five Acres of Warrant which was Executed upon the Afs’d Land and the Deponant further saith that some Years after he was in company with the Deceased Charles Walker and the said Charles asked the Deponant to go with him and help him Mark a Line Threw the afs’d tract of Land Called Bacon Hall for a Dividing Line between his son Charles and his wife Rebecca and Joseph which ye Deponant did taking Charles Walker the Son of the Deceased Charles with them and said to the Deponant Brother Richard the cause of my doing this you may be the Longest Liver and if there should be any Differences between my Two Sons and my wife that you may be an Evidence between them that it is my Intent that all the Land on the North side of this Line is for my son Charles and all the Land on the South side Intered for my Wife and my Son Joseph and further saith not. Sworn before Joseph Chapline – Note: there was Present both at the viewing of the lines and taking the Evidence Mathew Robertson, Nicholas Smith William Prather and John Turner and Alexander Falconer.

March 28th 1741 This day came Mathew Robertson aged about Thirty Eight Years being duly Sworn Declared that in the best of his Memory that in the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty four that Charles Walker, son of the Deceased Charles Walker was living on the same Plantation where he now liveth and the Deponant further saith that he knew the afs’d Plantation had been setteled some time before he went there to live and the Deponant further saith that some Years afterwards he was Ploughing on the Plantation whereon Joseph Walker now Liveth and the Deceased Charles Walker came and asked the Deponant if he knew where the Line was that he and Richard Isaac Marked for a Dividing Line between the two Sons for said he if there had been another Evidence I would not make and Will and further shall not. Sworn before Joseph Chapline.

March the 20th 1741 This day came Nicholas Smith Aged about 55 years being Duly Swornd Declares that some time about the first of December in the Year 1721 he was Living on the Plantation whereon Joseph Walker now Lives and Charles Walker, Son of the Deceased Charles Walker came and demanded possession of the afs’d Plantation which he immediately gave and went away and your Deponant further saith that some time in October in the Year 1724 he was Passing that way and found the said Chalres was removed and Living on the same Plantation whereon he now Liveth and the Deponant Called in and lighted his pipe and at the same time saw that there had been a crop of Indian Corn made that year and further saith not. 23 Jul 1749 Rebecca Walker of Prince Georges County for the Naturall Love & affection I bear to my son Joseph Walker do Have given granted Bargained and sold all the under mentioned Negroes, Goods and Chattels Viz:

one Negro woman called June on Negro woman Called Priss a Negro childed called Feebe a Negro boy three months old called Nally/Nacy Two feather beds & furniture One Trunk A Bible five Iron Potts and hooks four Iron Racks, a Driping pan, Six putor Platees, four Putor dishes a spice mortar a part of a hand mill, stones, four Chests three hundred Cattle & their Increase mared with a Coop & S__ in the Right Ear one mare branded ___ (cut off) a year old coppor Kitle and Iron Morter and all my other household goods whatsoever - nevertheless all the Negroes and possessions shall Remain in the Possession of the said Rebecca during her natural Life
