On 22 April 1817, Thomas Carraway and William Jordan, administrators of the estate of Charles G. Stewart (their brother-in-law), along with James Stewart and Barny Duff, all of Montgomery Co., Tennessee, signed a bond in the amount of $2000. They were to make an inventory which was received by the court in the July term of 1817. The inventory included items of property sold for a total sum of less than $100, a note of hand (promissory note) for $300, and $200 in cash.
