At the time of his death, he was a patient of the Veteran 's Hospital in Ann Arbor (he stayed there for one week prior to his death ). The obituary gives information regarding his birth, marriage, parent s, church membership and his stint serving in WW1. After serving in the w ar, he operated a gas station in Sturgis and then took up farming in Col on Township (Michigan?). Later in life, he owned and operated the Ming us Grocery Store of Nottawa, Michigan. Reference also an obituary for Pau line L. [Fuller] Kim who also died in Sturgis, Michigan. According to Ele anor Marvin, Charles and Pauline [Fuller] Mingus had no children. In addi tion, Eleanor provides that Charles' middle name was Thomas making the obi tuary incorrect in listing the initial "R" for his middle name.
