From the research of Dr. Anthony L. Troha:
"Both listings are accompanied by photographs of their headstones, so the information is correct. Only nine individuals with the surname Goonrod are listed on Ancestry.com, and only about five or so are found through Google searches [including Google Books]. There are no genealogical data for the Goonrod family, and I could not determine how these Jackson's are related to those in Rockaway, New Jersey or elsewhere. However, I did find plenty of individuals with the surname "Coonrod", a Germanic form of the name "Conrad", so on a hunch I re-examined the photograph of Comfort Jackson's headstone, and what the poster on FindAGrave.com thought was a "G" is probably supposed to be a "C". I then searched for "COMFORT COONROD" and I found her in an 1816 list of religious subscribers reproduced on Page 304, Column 2 of "History of Morris County, New Jersey, 1739 - 1882", published by W. W. Munsell, New York (1882). In the same group appears the name "Charles Jackson", who I assume is the man she later married. Thus, this seems to indicate that Charles Jackson and Comfort Coonrod were contemporaries and lived in the Rockaway Township / Dover / Randolph Township area.

Next, I found another reference to Charles Jackson in the same book. On Page 353, Column 2 of Munsell's History of Morris County, we find the recollections of Mr. Joseph J. Ayres regarding his attendance of an old school in the "Union District" [a school district that served the unincorporated community of Union, situated southeast of Dover, which straddled the border between Randolph Township and Rockaway Township]. Among the memories are "The early teachers to whom Mr. Ayres went were Charles SAMMIS, Daniel LAMPSON, Sylvanus HANCE, Betsey LOSEY, and one Charles JACKSON, who was a relative of the Lampson family." Recall now that Charles Jackson's grandson was named "Daniel Lampson Jackson", and we note that Daniel Lampson was one of Charles' fellow teachers listed by Mr. Ayres.
