BIOGRAPHY: Stukeley Westcote and some of his Descendants Fifty Copies Onley. Privately Printed No. 43 1886 Page 68 - 69 Charles W. Hopkins, of Providence, born 1839, August 8, of Pardon and Lydia (Lillebridge) Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins is a gentleman who devotes all of the time he can spare from his business to antiquarian and genealogical research. He is the author of "The Home Lots of The Early Settlers of the Providence Plantations," a work of much interest and value. To locate these lots with accuracy from imperfect records, after the lapse of two and a half centuries, was a work of great labor, requiring a most careful and critical examination of all of the earlier surveys and deeds, in which the description of the lands and streets was clothed in language brief, untechnical, and often ambiguous.

He was also the author of “The Home Lots of the Early Settlers of Providence Plantations,” published in 1886.
