Research Notes

  • Wife Johanna is identified via her interment record which states that she was buried in the same burial plot as Charles and lists her place of death. This place of death is the same address used in a 1892 NYC directory listing for Johanna Gunther which states that she is the widow of Charles Gunther.
  • cos1776 Mar 2014 note: Buried in same plot as Person:Alexander Gunther (2), indicating relationship - Perhaps they are brothers? More research needed.
