Disposition of Land from Chalkley's:

Although there is no deed in Chalkley's showing the disposition of Charles Dalhouse's 414-acre tract, the following Chalkley's record proves that Charles Dalhouse sold this tract to John Finley, who then sold this tract to John McCullough at a later date:

  • Vol. 2 - SEPTEMBER, 1802 (N to Z). - Depn. John Dolass (Dolhouse), 1802; deposes he is about 52 years and son of Charles Dolass, to whom Wm. Beverley conveyed 414 acres originally run out for John Finley and sold by Finley to John McCullogh. Depn. Saml. Pilson, aged 62, between 40 and 50 years ago. Depn. John Hamilton, aged about 72 years. (Note: most likely this tract was sold sometime after Charles Dalhouse's death in 1760).
