Charles Francis 'Beany' Bean

Charles Francis "Beany" Bean, of Sapulpa, died Friday, April 14, 2006 at his home in Sapulpa at the age of 84.

Mr. Bean was born Sept. 22, 1921 in Nettleton, Ark. He had lived most all of his life in Sapulpa.

Charles had retired from Liberty Glass. He was a member of the Happy Warriors Class and an usher in the First Church of God in Sapulpa. He also sang in the choir and in quartets in his young days.

His warm smile and lovable personality will be missed by his many friends, neighbors and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Harrison Bean, and his mother, Mary Needham Bean.

He is survived by: his wife, Doris Brock-Bean, of the home in Sapulpa; daughter Nancy Halderman, of Sapulpa; one sister, Mary Sophia Carder, of Sapulpa; three brothers, Paul Eugene Bean and his wife, Myrna, of Buena Park, Calif., James Elmer Bean, of Bakersfield, Calif., and Robert L. Bean and wife, Sue, of Sapulpa; numerous nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Cleo Brock, of the home, in Sapulpa.

Funeral services for Mr. Bean have been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at First Church Of God in Sapulpa with the Rev. Ken Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 17.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
