Catherine Teeter Long was the typical Pennsylvania Dutch house. She knitted, it is remembered, as she rode from Ankneyville to Davis to visit her daughter Malinda, her fingers were nover still. They kept pace with fast flow of conversation which was usually in the Dutch dialect. She had a good command of English, but she could talk faster in "Dutch". She came to Ohio with her Parents in 1826, walking all the way. Image Gallery
