Obituary

MRS. CATHERINE HUSHOWER

Mrs. Catherine Hushower, seventy-eight years old, died at her home in Bremen last Thursday evening after an illness of several days with pneumonia. She had been in failing health for more than a year.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at First Evangelical church. Rev. H.P. Blowesch, pastor of the church, officiated in the service. Burial was in the Bremen cemetery.
Mrs. Hushower was born Sept. 13, 1850, in Mahoning county, Ohio. When she was a young girl she came to Bremen with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Laser, and has made her home here since that time. She was united in marriage with William Hushower in 1771 (1881?) Surviving relatives are two sons, Ervin Hushower of Florida and Wilson Hushower of South Bend. She leaves also one brother, Daniel Laser, of Bremen, and ten grandchildren. Three of her granchildren (sic), Cleora, Maida and Edna Husower made their home with their grandmother in Bremen. One daughter, Miss Ida Hushower, preceded her mother in death nearly a year ago.
