    Catherine Argenbright was born abt. 1757 in Augusta County, Virginia, the daughter of Jacob Argenbright (1722-1807) and Susanna Pademer, who were married on 29 March 1746 at the First Reformed Church in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

    Catherine was the first wife of Peter Armentrout (1751-1824), and they had seven children together:

    3. Christian - b. 1779
    4. Anna Maria - b. 1781
    5. Peter - b. 1783
    6. Elizabeth - b. 1785
