Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge for Mrs. J. B. Lanoux 48, of 665 Richland Ave. who died suddenly at her home Saturday night [5 November]. The Rev. V. H. Hunter officiated and interment was in Roselawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Lanoux, who is the former Callie Elizabeth Woolsey of Mendenhall, Miss., had lived in Baton Rouge for the past three years. For ten years prior to that time she lived in Gonzales. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Johnnye B. Dunham of New Orleans, two sisters, Mrs. J. T. May of Mendenhall and Mrs. J. D. Warren of D'Lo, Miss., two brothers, J. B. Garner of D'Lo and L. D. Gardner of Mendenhall and several nieces and nephews. Gonzales Weekly 11 November 1949
