From GEDCOM import: Married Mary Jane Goodman June 20 1847 at Gluvias Parish. Arrived in Australia 1848 from the UK. Religion: Methodist. Occupation: Landowner - bought land in Newlands in 1850, Vegetable Farmer until 1886. Shire Councillor. Member of Coburg Roads Board. Won many prizes and medals for Fruit and Vegetable growing and best Alderney Cow in 1879. From a family research document: Caliph Dunstan (Caleb Senior) born 1824. Caliph and his wife, Clemens Mary Jane (her parents were Ambrose and Elizabeth). Listed - Immigration - persons on bounty ships arriving at Port Phillip (Victoria) from England. Caliph and Mary Jane were passengers, no. 13 on a ship called the "Nelson". Both were 24 years old. Caliph a labourer from Penryn in Cornwall, England. Their religion was Wesleyan and both were able to read and write. They arrived in Port Phillip on 11 November 1848. Their children were: Their mother, Clemens Mary Jane died in 1861, aged 37 years. Caliph fathered another child to Mary Beer, a daughter, Edith who died in 1885, aged 4 months. Caliph was on the 1856 Electoral Roll and listed as a farmer whose property was 55 acres Freehold at Mickleham, latitude 37 degrees, 34' and longitude 144 degrees, 53', which is near Bacchus Marsh or Melton in Victoria. Mickleham is no longer a place. Caleb, his son came to Western Australia in 1876, aged 22 years. References
