An Indenture was agreed to on 7 August 1730 between those of Roxbury, Suffolk County, being legal representatives and descendants of Joshua Lamb, Natha’l Page, Andrew Gooding/Gardner, Benjamin Gambling, Benjamin Tucker, John Curtis, Richard Draper and Samuel Ruggles all formerly of Roxbury, deceased, who were purchasers of a tract of land 12 miles long N-S, 8 miles wide E-W, called Wombemesscock (?)/Wombemesiscoak from Indians named John Magus, Lawrence Napardanns/Nassawanno, James & Simon, and were by this deed dated 27 December 1686 for the 1st part and Samuel Bedorthaum, inhabitants of part of that tract between Brookfield, Brimfield and Springfield on the other part [or Joseph Chadwick of Malden, Middlesex, carpenter for the 2nd part] for £13 paid towards building a meeting house and settling a minister and surveying. Willis, Timothy Ruggles, Joseph Haskelland, Joseph Ruggles, Joshua Lamb, Edward Sumner, Caleb Seaver, Stephen Tucker, John Draper, Saml Draper, John Curtis (Hampden County (MAssachusetts) Land Records, Volume 5, Page 55, abstracted from FHL Microfilm 0,844,494, provided by Margaret Jenks). Note that Caleb Seaver's wife was Hannah Gamblin, a daughter of Benjamin Gamblin.

Caleb Sever died testate, having written a will on 15 May 1751. The will was proven by deposition on 12 January 1753. The heirs named were wife Sarah, only daughter Sarah Seaver, granddaughters Sarah and Hannah Seaver, and sdon Benjamin Seaver (deceased). The executors named were Aaron Davis and Obadiah Davis, yeomen. The witnesses were Nathan Walter, Andrew White and Mary White. (Suffolk County (Massachusetts) Probate Records, Volume 47, page 163).

An inventory of the estate was taken 23 January 1753, by Benj Smith, Nathl Whiting, and Joseph Mayo. The estate totalled 701 pounds, 10 shillings, 3 pence. The real estate (buildings and home lot) totaled 313 pounds, 6 shillings, 8 pence; the pasture and a small piece of Meadow totalled 220 pounds (Suffolk County (Massachusetts) Probate Records, Volume 47, page 219).
