Mrs. Jackson was born Oct. 13, 1907, in Kansas City, Mo., to William T. and Bonnie (Hill) Fitton. She died June 22, 1993, in Pryor. Mrs. Jackson grew up and attended school in southern Oklahoma and graduated from high school in Anderson, Mo. She started college at Carthage, Mo., then attended Northeastern State Teachers College in Tahlequah where she received her teaching degree. She was married to Ralph Jackson on June 16, 1935, in Anderson, Mo. She started her teaching career in Anderson, Mo., then moved to Adair where she taught the first grade for most of her 40-year teaching career. She had lived in Adair and Pryor most of her life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Adair and was a member of the church prayer club. She was also a member of the Pryor BPW and Garden Club and the Oklahoma Retired Teacher's Association. Survivors include one brother, [names of living individuals have been removed;] two sisters, [names of living individuals have been removed;] one niece, [living[ of Wichita, Kan.; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jackson, on May 13, 1989. References
