Betsy and her husband Joe Myers were the parents of Nancy Myers Leach. Nancy married the Reverend William J. Leach. The Leach family has generational ties to Magnolia Garden Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina. Betsy and Joe Myer's son-in-law Willie J. Leach, lived and worked for 30 years as gardener/superintendent at Magnolia Garden Plantation. Their grandson, now in is early 80's has taken his father's place at the plantation where his own son, the fourth generation Leach family member is also employed.
