Betsy Lattermore was baptised on 8th November 1835 at Barnack in Northamptonshire, daughter of Esther Lattermore, formerly Newborn, and her husband John Lattermore, a market gardener and cottager. The family lived at Pilsgate, a hamlet in the north-west of Barnack parish. Betsy appears in both the 1841 census living there with her parents.

Betsy died on 14th February 1855 of scarlet fever, aged nineteen. Her parents both outlived her.
