She died at her late residence in Seneca Falls on the 13th day of March of the present year. Had she lived two days longer she would have been just 92 years old. She was married to Albert O'Hara in the year 1816. Eight children were born of this marriage, seven of whom are still living. In 1815 she moved from Connecticut to Leray, Jefferson county, in this state. The last 38 years of her life she resided in Seneca Falls. She was a descendent of the Puritans. Her father was a revolutionary soldier, as was her uncle, Samuel Wardwell. Her uncle kept a diary of events during the war. In this diary he related how they lived on horse flesh and that their little decimated army could be followed by the footprints of their bleeding feet. Mrs. O'Hara was a woman of great courage and endurance. Once at the risk of her life, she plunged into a lake and rescued a boy from drowning." -Printed by the funeral home upon her death.
