Betsey, Abraham's his first child was born in 1775. Betsey moved with the family to Jaffrey when her father removed from Bolton, Massachusetts as a young man after he met and married her mother, Persis Welch, daughter of Paul Welch about 1774. As early as 1777, her father moved the family to Jaffrey, Cheshire County, New Hampshire. In that year her father was road surveyor at Jaffrey. She married Jonathan Stanley who came from Rindge, New Hampshire^[1][2]. Betsey Stanley died 10 Feb 1842 in Jaffrey at age 67 years^[1].
