"Doc" Brattland was a chiropractor. After Daddy (Emery) saw Doc help his father after a farm accident, he always wanted to be a chiropractor. As he never was able to finish his college, and I think he was enrolled in Civil Engineering at the U of IL, he never obtained that dream.
