    The twice married Thomas, son of Thomas, had a large family. His first wife was Phebe Waters, daughter of Richard Waters and Rejoice Plaise, married 11 October 1658, Salem. They were the parents of four sons-Samuel, Joseph, Benjamin and John. Samuel married Rhoda Meacham and died the Summer of 1685; his inventory was taken in August and their son Samuel was horn after his father's death. The brothers Benjamin and Joseph had land in Enfield, Connecticut 1683 and settled there in 1686. … Benjamin married in Enfield the daughter of Hannah Osborn and Elias Shaddock, Hannah, in 1692. Benjamin later moved to Middletown, Conn., where he died 11 Dec. 1733."

  7.   Supposed by a source that is not available to me, "West, Barker, Hodges" by Beatrice West Seitz, p. 8 to be the Benjamin West of Middletown. That he was represented by an attorney in his father's probate suggest this is possible, but the evidence is not visible to me.
