Benjamin St. John moved to New Canaan in 1744, and he and his wife, Mary, were added to the N. C. Church, Oct. 7, 1744, by letter; they came with 4 sons and 4 daughters. His ear mark was a Crop on ye Near Ear and a Nick under each Ear (Rec. Mar. 30, 1748). He executed deeds to his son David, of Stamford, in 1763 (N. L. Rec., xii. 24).
