Will
- Pages 317-18. Will of Benjamin Porter of Orange County, dated 21 Jan. 1761.
- Unto my eldest son Ambrose Porter one shilling current money and what lies on the east side of my spring branch down to the river unto my sons Nicholas, Thomas, Charles and Abner equally, my son Nicholas having his choice either of the mannor house and plantation or where he now lives.
- To my sons Benjamin and Joseph all that lower tract I purchased of Mr. Nicholas Battaile and the lands I purchased of Mr. Rowland Thomas awith a water mill on the river to be equally divided, including the mill on my son Benjamin's lot.
- My executors to sell at publick auction the upper tract I purchased of the aforesaid Battaile and the monney to be equally divided between my daughters Elizabeth and Frances.
- Unto my children Benjamin, Thomas, Charles, Joseph, Abner, Jane, Betty, Mary and Frances all my slaves and personal estate already had a Negro given him.
- My grandchildren by my daughter Ann may be educated by my executors out of the profits of my estate.
- If any of my sons to whom I have given lands should die before they arive to the age of twenty one years or marrys, their part be equally divided among the surviving brothers to whom I have given any lands.
- My two sons Nicholas and Benjamin executors.

His fate after that date appears to be unknown.
