Lem Pope Dies in Ninetieth Year

B. L. Pope, after a lengthy illness, died at his home in Bolivar Tuesday (8 May 1945). He would have been 90 years old had he lived until next 4 November 1945.

The funeral services are being held this afternoon (10 May 1945) at the Erwin and Blue Chapel, preached by the Rev. Dell Wynkoop and Rev. Fred H. Terry. Burial is in the Greenwood Cemetery/

Mr. Pope is survived by two daughters, Mrs. B. J. George of Kansas City and Mrs. Robert Waldron of Murphysboro, Illinois, one son, Lester E. Pope of Seattle, Washington and four grandchildren.
