Processioning List of 1765

"Processioning" was the periodic review and agreement of property lines between settler's lands. Processioning Lists are useful in determining the general area of a settlers lands and their neighbors at specific time periods:

In 1738 a Benjamin Paulson contributed to Old Swedes Church (Coownunicant Records: Holy Trinity Church)

Frederick Smith must have gone back to New Castle Co. as three of his children were horn there according to records of Old Swedes Church. lie was a irember of militia in Augusta Co., Va. which was raised to protect the. frontier. These troops served in expeditions on both the James and New rivers, He was a private in this militia during the year 1764 and listed As Fred. Smith. Among other members of this company were Samuel Robinson, Win. Robinson, Thomas Robinson, Donald McDonald, James Robinson & Benjamin Paulson.
