Per researcher Tim Treadwell, "During his lifetime, there was a close connection between his family in Mecklenburg Co., and the Morrows of Shepardstown, VA, including Col. John Morrow, member of the US Congress, and also the family of Daniel Morrow, his uncle, of Granville Co., where he probably met his wife Mary Jane Hawkins, his second wife, while his son John White Morrow married Mary Ann Nuttall of that same section."
