OBR: In 1814 Benjamin Jr, with his new wife, joined his father and others in removing from Morris County to Knox County Ohio. They considered this trip as a part of their honeymoon. She was only 15. Sold the Knox County farm and moved to Belleville, Ohio in 1816.

From Isaac's papers: Isaac J. Allen parents moved with the Jacksons, the Youngs, the Denmans, the Ayres, the Bryants, the Axtels, the Mitchells, the Talmages, the Hylers, the Balls and perhaps others to Fredericktown, Knox County, Ohio in 1814. They started when he (Isaac) was only 6 weeks old and he was a 3 months old when they arrived - a 1000 mile trip in a covered wagon!.

From Isaac's papers: My uncle Benjamin Jackson sold his farm (in Knox County) and engaged in milling and merchandise at Belleville and did a large business. For a number of years he was Associate Judge of the Common Pleas Court for that county. His wife was Nancy Robinson, one of the Halsey family, then as now a prominent family of New Jersey.

This record uses the birth date of 8 Nov 1792 given by Virgil D. Allen in 1932 and published in Oscar Burton Robbins' book about the Jacksons in 1950, pg 221. The Find-a-Grave memorial page uses an ALT birthdate of 11 Aug 1792 supposedly taken from his death certificate. Only the date of death is on his gravestone.
