Obituary copied from his Find-a-Grave memorial page: Published in the Pekin Times, Thursday March 15, 1973 B.R. Jackson Dies In Fla.; Rites Monday Funeral services for Benjamin Richard Jackson, 76, formerly of Pekin, a resident of Clearwater, Fla. for the past 16 years, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Kuecks Funeral Home. Rev. William Pruett, pastor of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View cemetery. Friends may call at Kuecks from 2 until 4 and from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Jackson died at 5 a.m. today Mar. 15, 1973 in Mease hospital at Dunedin, Fla. Born at Forest City June 20, 1896, he was a son of Fuller and Lulu Onstott Jackson. Mr. Jackson was the owner and operator of the Jackson Motor Co. which was located in Pekin at the corner of First and Elizabeth streets in the 1930's. He was a member of the Clearwater United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife Hildreth; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Eileen Bozarth of Pekin, and Mrs. Frances Rech of Clearwater, Fla.; three brothers, Robert of Canton, Merlyn of Forest City, and Jesse of Bath; two sisters, Mrs. Louisa K. Palmer of Manito, and Mrs. Prudence Folkman of Canton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A son preceded him in death. References
