    "21. Benjamin Fairbanks, of Dedham, Mass., Benjamin III, John II, Jonathan I. Born in Dedham, July 6, 1695; lived in 'Clapboardtrees' parish, now West Dedham. He dropped dead immediately on his return to his own house from the 'House of Publick worship,' Dec. 18, 1757. His will was dated July 1, 1756, and was probated Jan. 13, 1758. See Suffolk Probate Records, Lib. 53, fol. 57. At a church meeting, Feb. 8, 1743, a vote of thanks was tendered to him for a lot of land he had given to the church. He was one of the original signers of the covenant of the Clapboardtrees Church, and he and ten other persons donated to the church ten acres of land."
