Benjamin Bolin bought 200 acres of land in Bladen Co., NC in 1745. He would have to be 21 to buy land so born before 1724, not 1734 like researchers have thought in the past.

In 1752 he was on Bolin Creek in Orange Co., NC. His neighbors included Thomas Loyd, John Stroud, Jr and William Gibson. He was on Lick Crrek, with 300 acres in Johnston Co., NC in 1755. Bolin Creek was sometimes called Lick Creek, so I don't think he moved, the county lines just changed.

Ben served in the Military in 1754 during the French and Indian War. He was on Col. Eaton's Militia list along with James, John and William Bolin. James and John were probably Ben's brother. William may have been a brother or possibly their father.

He sold his 300 acres in Orange Co., NC to Henry Webb in 1755.

I can find no marriage records or birth records for any children. From what I can figure out, from tradition, land records, etc., he had sons Benjamin m Charity Larimore, Justice m Partty Baker, Jesse m Polly Gren and Mary Pennington, William m Sarah Birchfield, and James m Sarah Blevins...daughters Mary m Andrew Baker, Hannah m Solomon Osborn and Elizabeth m William Short.

I descend from Benjamin and Charity Larimore.
