    Cambridge City Tribune, 18 Feb 1904 - The remains of Benjamin F. Binkley, accompanied by his brother, Henry Binkley, arrived here Saturday night from Anderson. The deceased was struck by an interurban car near Pendleton, last Thursday night, and died at the hospital in Anderson, Friday. Mr. Binkley was born in Germantown 64 years ago, and spent the greater part of his early life in this community. He enlisted in 1861 and was a member of Co. D, 8th regiment Indiana infantry, and served more than three years with a good record as a soldier. Since the war he has made his home most of the time in Madison county. He was never married. His brothers, Henry Binkley, of Tipton, and Philip S. Binkley, of Germantown, and other relatives, survive him. The G.A.R. funeral services were conducted by Cambridge Post at the grave Sunday morning. Interment at Lutheran cemetery, East Germantown.
