From the Bartlett Society No document has been seen to support his birth date as given here. He died before 10 Apr 1724 on which day his will was sworn to. On 7 Feb 1715/6 Benjamin Bartlett of Duxbury, cooper, sold to William Bartlett of Duxbury, yeoman , 60 acres in Pembroke. The will of Benjamin Bartlett of Duxboro dated 10 Dec 1717, was sworn to 10 Apr 1724 and proved 6 Jul 1724. He bequeated all his real estate to his wife Ruth, for her life, but at her death it was to be equally divided between his seven daughters, Sarah Bradford, Rebecca Bradford, Ruth Murdock, Mercy Turner, Priscilla Bartlett, Deborah Bartlett, Abigail Bartlett, and his granddaughter Ruth Bartlett, daughter of his son WIlliam Bartlett deceased. On 27 Mar 1725 the estate was divided to children: Israel Bradford and Sarah his wife; Rebekah Bradford widow of John Bradford; John Murdoch Jr. and Ruth his wife of Plymouth; John Turner and Mercy his wife; John Samson and Priscilla his wife; Abigail Bartlett of Duxborough; Josiah Thomas and Deborah his wife of Marshfield. On 25 Apr 1728 (sic, must be 1729) Gamaliel Bradford of Duxboro, husbandman and Abigail his wife sold land that was their father, Mr. Benjamin Bartlett's land. On 28 Dec 1742 Israel Bradford and Sarah his wife of Kingston; Rebecca Bradford widow of John Bradford of Kingston; John Murdoch and his wife Ruth of Plimpton; John Turner and his wife Mercy of Scituate; Josiah Thomas and his wife Deborah; and Capt. Camaliel Bradford and his wife Abigail of Duxborough sold land to John Samson of Duxborough, yeoman. References
