NOTE: Bendicht Minger, Baptized 6 July 1770, was a dairy farmer. We are descended from his oldest son, Johann Ulrich Minger (1800-1863) who, with his wife, Anna Maria, and their eight children, immigrated to America in 1845. When Johann Ulrich Minger left Switzerland, both of his parents were deceased; his mother Barbara having died when Johann was eleven years old.
