    Bartholomew was known as a famous Indian fighter.
    When he returned from Canada where he was carried when captured by Indians, he returned to Gorham where he was Captain.
    He then moved to Standish.
    He sold his farm in Standish in 1776 and came to Baldwin.
    His lot in Baldwin was later the Edwin Rounds heirs place.
