Personal History
Barna Scarlett, third son of Newman Scarlett and Phebe (Ball), was born 5 June 1802, in Kingston (later renamed Granville), Vermont.[1]
A marriage license was issued 26 November 1821, in Clark Co., Ohio, for Barna (or Barney) Scarlett and Lois Poole. They were married the next day, in the same county, by John Whiteley, J.P.
