Monroe Evening News, 6 Feb 1946 Mrs. Augusta Mae Smith, aged 59 years, died at 3 PM yesterday at her Newsport home following an illness of 10 years. Born June 10, 1886, in Ash Township she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Folk. July 17, 1906, she was married to Charles Smith, the Rev. Mr. Shaw performing the cermony at the First Presbyterian Church at Monroe. A member of lthe Newport Community Church, she spent her entire live here. Besides her husband she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Edward Reaume of Lincoln Park, Charlotte and Phyllis at home; a son, Roy at home; and two sisters, Mrs. Claude Kennedy of Monroe and Mrs. Conrad (Mary) Smith of Frenchtown. Funeral seravices will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Allore, Beam and Weber funeral home, Monroe, and at 2:30 from the Newport Community Church. The Rev.
