Anne "Antoinette" Walters Losie, 92, daughter of the now-deceased John F. Walters and Olga Smith Walters, died in Gainesville, Fla., April 25.

She was descended from the early pioneer Burgoon family who first settled here in the wilderness in 1829, coming from MD via the National Highway and originally from Alsace-Lorraine and England in the year 1740.

She was educated in the Freemont Public Schools and graduated from the College of Wooster in Wooster. In Fremont, she was a member of the first Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Losie was employed as a teacher, an executive secretary for Champion Spark Plug Company in Toledo, and assisted in Toledo Public School libraries. Mrs. Losie was a member of AAUW and Zion United Methodist Church where she was vice president of United Methodist Women, church librarian and member of the choir.

The Losies moved to Gainesville, Fla., in 1989.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin J. Losie, and her daughter, Diana Amrein. Survivors include one son, David Losie, of Colville, Wash.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church - Gainesville

Burial: Memorial Park Central in Gainsville.

Arrangements were handled by the Williams-Thomas Funeral Home, 404 N. Main St., Gainesville, Fla. 32601.
