Facts and Events
Annie owned a hotel in Belen, N.M. that serviced the Santa Fe Railroad workers. The men used to complain about the low wattage light bulbs Annie kept in the rooms and in the hallways. They also knew that if they had the water running in their rooms longer than a minute or so, Annie would be knocking on their doors, telling them to shut the water off! Her hotel was right next door to a diner owned by her brother, Harmon.
