[edit] October 21, 1741 - Will of Anne DrewettI Anne Drewett of Bratton in the parish of Westbury and County of Wilts Widow hereby revoking all former wills by me made do make and ordain my last will and testament to be as followeth that is to say in the first place I give unto my daughter Anne twenty pounds. Also I give unto my son William ten pounds. Also I give unto my son Edward ten pounds. Also I give unto my son James twenty pounds. Also I give unto my daughter Lucy Heron the sum of six pounds a year payable unto her alone without the intermeddling of her husband Arthur Heron nor to be in any way subject to charges or affected with his receipt ______ demand or power whatsoever to commence at my decease and to be paid in equal half yearly payments for and during her natural life. Also I give to unto my daughter Margaret twenty pounds and the fifty pounds I some time ago lent her husband John Pinnock. Also I give unto my daughter Jane twenty pounds to be paid to her alone at the discretion of my executors herein after named. Also I give unto my son Phillip Drewett all that my leasehold tenement called Naishes with all and singular its appurtenances. Also I give unto my said son Phillip the sum of ten pounds a year to be paid to him in equal half yearly payments during his natural life. Also I give my granddaughter Lucy the wife of Henry Nevill twelve pounds. Also I give unto every other grandchild that shall be alive at my decease the sum of five pounds each to be paid to each and either of them when as they or either of them shall arrive at the age one and twenty years, but I intend not any great grandchildren to have any share or be included. Also I give son Henry my leasehold estate called Aishes Land, also I give my said son Henry the sum of one hundred pounds. All the residue and remainder of my goods chattels and credits whatsoever I give and bequeath unto my two sons John Drewidett and Henry Drewett to be equally divided between them without any allowance to be made to either for or in respect of what was left them by their father or the ____ or growing interest thereof but my will is that they be equal shares in all I do possess of and I hereby nominate and constitute and appoint them the said John Drewett and Henry Drewett my full and sole executors of this my last will and testament given under my hand and seal this twenty first day of October in the fifteenth year of the reign of our sovereign lord George the second by the grace of god King of Great Britain and so forth and in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and forty one.
