    Capt. Edmund(1) Goodenow … married in England say 1635 ANNE -----, died in Sudbury 9 March 1675[/6?], aged 67 years. This date is direct conflict with (a deed) in which Ann Goodenow, the wife of Edmund Goodenow, surrendered her dower on 20 June 1682 [Middlesex Deed, 8:488]. Likely the deed copyist made a transcription error, writing 1681 instead of 1671.
