WOODY -- Mrs. Anna Parish Woody, 73 years old, widow of H. A. Woody, died Saturday, August 24, 1935, at her home on south Main street. She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage about four weeks ago, following ill health of some months. Mrs. Woody was born in this county April 30, 1862, a daughter of the late James J. and Harriet Parish. She is survived by a son, Albert Woody, of Birmingham, Ala., who was here at the time of her death, two grandchildren, Miss Billy Woody of Mayfield, and Wayne Woody of New Orleans, and one sister, Mrs. Mary P. Clary, this city. The body was removed to the Smith-Rees home, later returned to the residence where funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock by Dr. W. P. Fryman. Burial in Battle Grove cemetery. Pall bearers were C. M. Jewett, M. C. Swinford, Hanson Peterson, S. P. Sprake, Joe Rigg, Dr. N. W. Moore, J. T. Wornall, Orie Lebus, John Cromwell, Otwell Frazer, D. R. Kimbrough, John Shropshire.

WOODY. Mrs. Anna Henderson Parish Woody, widow of H. A. Woody, died Saturday morning, Aug. 24, at her home on South Main Street. About two months ago she was stricken with paralysis since which time she had been in a very serious condition.
She was the daughter of the late James J. and Harriet Madison Parish and was born in Harrison County April 30, 1862. On January 7, 1892, she was married to Mr. Horatio A. Woody, who has been dead for 15 years. She is survived by a son, Albert Woody, of Birmingham, Ala., who was here at the time of her death, and a sister, Mrs. Mary P. Clary, of this city, and two grandchildren, Billie Woody, of Mayfield, and Wayne Woody, of New Orleans, La. She was a member of the Cynthiana M.E. Church, South.
The body was removed to the Smith-Rees Home and later returned to the residence. The funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the residence, the Rev. W. P. Fryman officiating. Burial was Battle Grove Cemetery.
The pallbearers selected were C. M. Jewett, S. F. Sprake, J. R. Rigg, Dr. N. W. Moore, J. T. Wornall, Orie Lebus, Hanson Peterson, John M. Cromwell, M. C. Swinford, Otwell Fraser, D. R. Kimbrough and John Shropshire.
