The Last Will and Testament of Andrew Russell was produced to Court for probate. Whereupon James Rodgers one of the subscribing Witnesses thereto being first duly sworn in open Court depose and say he is acquainted with Andrew Russell the within named Testator and that at the time of signing and sealing the said will he was of sound mind and mimorey [memory] to the best of his Knowledge and belief which Will and Testament is in the words & figures following To wit:
In the Name of God Amen
I Andrew Russell of Knox County & State of Tennessee of perfect mind and sound memory do make this my Last will and Testament
I wish my body to be buried in a christian manner, And the funeral Expenses will all my Just debts to be paid out of my perishable property.
First I will that all my property both real and personal be and remain at the disposal of my Loving wife Agnus during her natural life and at her death my landed property to be Equally ___ with my five sons; viz. James R., Joseph B., John P., William H. and Andrew H.
all my other proprety to be sold and divided Equally with all my sons & Daught[ers] to wit: the aforesaid James R., Joseph B., John P., William H. and Andrew H., Nancy Jane, Caroline B. and Sarah Ann B.
Second for the good will I have for Jane Martin I wil that my loving wife provide her with a comfortible sustenance during her natural life.
I further Will that my two sons James R. & Joseph B. (Pg. 36) [Executors] and in case that Either or both of them die or be so far removed that It would make it inconvenient that the next oldest do Execute this my Last will & Testament.
